Fourth-generation in this business, Vatche Azirian and sister Silva gave us a tour of Alpha’s facility, established by their father, Missak. Here they fabricate everything related to retractable awnings, including the motors. “We are so vertically integrated—handling all design, manufacturing and production—that we can keep our products affordable and deliver on time.”

The people at Alpha Productions are wonderful! I purchased a condo and there were existing awnings over the terrace that were old and needed to be replaced. I called Alpha Productions because they were the company that had fabricated the original awnings and they had lasted a very long time! When Vatche came out, it put a smile on his face to see the old awnings were still working after all those years even though the frames were rusty and the fabric was old. They had a fabulous choice of fabrics to choose from. Vatche recommended extending the new frame a little so it covered the whole terrace and I was able to get a powder white colored metal for the frame that matches the trim on my windows.
The service was impeccable, the guys were friendly and efficient and they tested the motors to make sure everything was working perfectly.
Alpha is a remarkable company. I could not be more thrilled with them.

I have large, west-facing windows on my house, and the interior of my house would get pummeled with sunlight and was about ten degrees warmer inside than outside. In the summer it would get very stagnant. My contractor recommended Alpha Productions as he had had a great experience with them. They installed rolling screens that you can see through and let in air but block the sun's UV rays. They work beautifully and Vatche was so knowledgeable and really helped guide me in my choice of materials and did a great installation.
While Vatche was at my house, he noticed our patio, which also gets a lot of sun. I was initially opposed to an awning because I had a preconceived notion that they were tacky. My wife and I thought we might install a sailcloth, but Vatche showed me the awning samples and explained what he could do with them. He worked with me and we designed a huge awning that not only compliments the design of my modern home, but has created a whole other room in our house for us to use. Now my family can enjoy being outside all the time.
I often get on my soapbox about how we've become such a serviceless society. Its a shame we are blown away when we get good service, when it should be the opposite, it doesn't make any sense. Alpha Productions goes against my theory. I would give Alpha Productions an A ++ for service and I've referred them to a number of people. There's real pride in the company and that's rare these days—Vatche even invited me down to his facility to see where they make the awnings.
Everyone who works for Alpha is awesome, from Linda in the office to Pablo their electrician, and the follow-up is great. When I had a problem with an outlet four months after installation, I emailed them and got a response within twenty minutes and they were out the same day to fix the problem. There are a lot of people who have worked on my house, and I don't remember who a lot of them are, but I will always remember and recommend Alpha Productions.

I moved into my house two years ago and have dealt with numerous companies during my remodel—and I was disappointed with almost all of them. Alpha Productions is the only company that stood out that I would be thrilled to recommend.
They installed three different awnings on my house, including a huge awning that made our outdoor patio into an indoor room. They gave me ideas for what type of awning to use and offered a selection of fabrics. They offer a high-end product and I opted to use high-end materials, so it wasn't cheap, but their wide range of materials allow for flexible pricing.
The quality of work was above my expectations and the customer service was great. They showed up when they said they would, did the work and the work was clean and professional. I decided later I wanted something changed and they came right back and fixed it.
Silva and her brother are both professional and know their product. They have both stood out in my mind from of two years of dealing with people. A consumer experience this good shouldn't be unusual, but unfortunately it is. You should definitely use this company.

We had an existing wooden patio structure and Alpha Productions added an awning on one side to extend it and another awning on the top, which rolled out to create even more shade. It is the best thing ever! We met Vatche in the showroom and then he came out himself for the estimate, which was nice. I like that his father invented all these cool things in their factory. Alpha made the awning for a long patio that runs the back of my house. When I have the awning out, I extend the livable portion of my house by an entire room. It is a beautiful place to sit. My interactions with Alpha Productions have all been very positive. They delivered at the price quoted, on time and rose to the occasion. They did a very custom awning system to cover a long, ridged skylight on my 1920’s house. It was important to me to have the awning keep with the style of the house. I really pushed the envelope. Vatche is an earnest, hard-working, young man. He was intrigued by the challenge and rose to it. The lead fabricator, Jack, was terrific! With Vatche’s backing and encouragement, Jack came to the house multiple times to tweak the awning so it was perfect. I’m not an easy person to satisfy. Alpha went over and above to make the paint look like metal with a particular sprayer. They disassembled the awning, painted it and reassembled it. Alpha is one of the few contractors I have used in LA who was terrific.
