We've been working with AP Electrics since their inception! We work in full residential remodels as well as kitchen and bathroom renovation projects and they've done everything for us, from simple switch-outs of light fixtures and new outlets to completely new construction wiring. The quality of their work is fantastic and they're very responsive and are receptive to questions and direct and honest communication. They're also very willing to work around our and our clients' busy schedules and are respectful of their spaces. Additionally, their pricing seems fair and comparable to the industry. AP Electrics has installed light fixtures inside and outside of our home, they’ve replaced breakers and they’ve troubleshooted shorts. The quality of their work is A+! They’re a very solid company.

My wife and I live on the East Coast, in the Philadelphia area. We recently purchased a condominium in LA with our daughter as our tenant. Since July, I’ve made 4 trips to LA (10 days each) to work on/fix up the condo. While I am an advanced “do it yourself” homeowner, I needed some skilled assistance for the trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC). Among other recommendations, our real estate broker referred us to Jose Sanchez, owner of AP Electrics for electrical work. The condo needed to be essentially rewired (due to a corner-cutting renovation). Each member of Jose’s team provided innovative, “outside of the box,” and creative solutions to complex logistical issues associated with 1970s construction. Simply stated, he and his team provided knock-your-socks off, chrome-plated service. They were prompt, responsive and professional. In fact, I wish I had a Jose here in Pennsylvania!
His employees and co-workers are equally amazing. Sometimes, when you don’t get the actual business owner, you feel a bit worried about the quality of service you are going to receive - but that’s simply not the case with AP Electrics. On one specific visit, Etai Vaizman handled the call. He was as skilled, professional and courteous as Jose. While they have electrical apprentices working with them as well, I observed that they were closely supervised and mentored - giving them hands-on experience and valuable education.
AP Electrics understood that I was only on the West Coast for 10 days at a time - and I had to work quickly and efficiently. Each time they arrived, I provided a “to-do list” and my various electrical goals and objectives. They listened carefully, asked clarifying questions - and then got to work. Even when walls had to be cut into (to run a new electrical lines), they always made sure to clean everything up and keep the workplace safe for my daughter.
Jose and his team showed up each visit on time and exactly as promised. What’s more, Jose utilizes very helpful customer communication software that confirms your appointment (via text or email), reminds you of the appointment and actually shows you who is coming with the worker’s picture, and tracks them when the worker is on his way. It’s amazing. All contractors should be so communicative!
I made my living in the service business, and there are some things that you simply can’t teach. You either understand the service mindset or you don’t. Jose intuitively “gets” customer service. One example of that commitment occurred on a Friday afternoon. While I was working at the condo replacing the shower/bath fixtures, I discovered a ground wire and wire nut behind the shower arm. Needless to say, I was concerned about this discovery - so I called Jose and asked him to come look at it immediately (as I was traveling back to the East Coast first thing the following morning). Jose was in Long Beach. He completed his work in Long Beach and drove all the way up to Culver City in Friday afternoon traffic. It ended up that the ground wire was not “live” and was likely put there to hold something in place during the prior renovation - but I was nonetheless relieved that we did not have a bigger problem. He’s just extraordinary.

My daughter was fortunate enough to purchase a house in the area. It hadn’t been lived in for almost ten years, so it needed a complete renovation. I interviewed around four electrical companies. After interviewing, I received three proposals. Jose was very knowledgeable about codes in this area, and their proposal was comprehensive. I used to manage an extensive commercial and residential real estate portfolio, including construction projects, and I know owner involvement is excellent but that a project onsite team is critical. Jose’s was great, and they had a couple of foremen who were really good and took direction well. They also had an apprenticeship program, which is unusual for a smaller company.
AP Electrics implements technologies large firms use to automate scheduling and client notifications. For example, we would receive notifications about who would be there and when. Jose likes technology, and I’m also a closet technology nerd, so I appreciate that.
The work was done correctly and to code the first time. No corners were cut. If I wanted something done differently, they immediately took care of it.
Jose was very responsive when I called or texted; he answered. There were only any extra costs if I asked him for something else. The whole project went very smoothly. I would recommend AP Electrics.

AP Electrics has done a lot of work for me. I moved into a house that was cosmetically lovely, but when you looked under the hood there was quite a bit of mess. When I moved in, as it turned out, there were a lot of electrical violations and the house was not up to code.
Jose was a lifesaver. He managed to fix an outlet in my bathroom that not only didn’t work, but had incorrect wiring, which was a complicated job. He re-wired my doorbell and made it so that it rings in two places in the house. I had an ungrounded gasline with dangling electrical wires all throughout the crawlspaces, which was really dangerous. He fixed it all and made the house incredibly safe, which really put my mind at ease. While he was here, he figured out that my outdoor electrical was not working, which I hadn’t even noticed, and he came back and fixed it. He’s really on it.
He and his workers show up on time, and they are more than polite—they go out of their way to be friendly. Jose’s response time is very good and he is super nice. You feel very safe having him in your home. He gets the job done quickly and explains everything to you.
Electrical work is one of those quirky things that you have to be really careful with because it can ruin your house, so it’s important to have an electrician that you feel is very trustworthy. I felt completely comfortable with Jose. He knows his job very, very well.
