Chet designed our full backyard remodel. Before him, we had been through three or four different designers who were lovely but never quite understood what we were looking for. We finally found Chet, and he nailed it. He’s such a gentle, smart and creative guy who is good at listening. He has a lot of forethought.
He and his team were great. They designed our pool and added a shade structure and firepit. They helped us figure out which colors and materials would work best. They had an eye for subtlety, and they thought of all the details. They made something that could have been just “good” into something great and architecturally interesting.
We were always able to reach them. We had meetings throughout the process and could video chat them last minute to go over things. Their pricing was in line with the other designers we contacted.
I would hire Chet again in a heartbeat. I recommend him without hesitation.

We found Chet around five years ago, through a contractor we had previously used. At the time, my in-laws were planning on moving from San Diego to LA. Chet worked with us for over a year to help us build this amazing house that has space for all three generations. We all love it. Chet sat in meeting after meeting, making sure everyone—even our kids—had what they wanted. After the design phase, he also oversaw the building of the house.
I have no complaints. Chet’s work is above stellar. He and his team have an immense amount of patience. My in-laws are very particular, and they had very specific things that they wanted. For example, early on they said they wanted two laundry rooms in the house. Chet was really patient with all of it. He helped us go through the process of negotiating options and figuring out what we really needed. Chet also listened to my kids and made them feel involved in the process. It is a house that was made for us, and I love it.
Chet came up with fun, modern and functional ideas to incorporate into the project. He gave the house creative design elements I never would have thought of—for example, glass flooring tile in the second floor that brings in a lot of light. He also put a big round window in my son’s bedroom, which he loves.
The team is great with communication. We recently had to get some paperwork and they were very responsive.
Working with Chet and his team was the best part of building the house. I hope that I never have to go through this process again, but if I did, I would definitely hire him.

We hired Chet for a massive remodel of our home that could fit my parents, my wife and I, and our kids. Chet and his team factored in what each of us wanted and created something better than what we could have hoped for. The quality of their work is fantastic. Chet seemed to hear exactly what everyone wanted and found the best solutions.
He was able to take in all our hopes for the house and apply them to a plan that we all liked. What we wanted was going to be expensive, so his team worked with us to make it more reasonable. It was a fantastic experience.

Chet came referred to me by a friend. He and his team renovated our house in Los Feliz top to bottom. It’s a mid-century house and we wanted to include a lot of architectural details specific to the time period. The whole team did a spectacular job. They were so thoughtful and their attention to detail was exceptional.
Everyone on the team was available when we needed them. They followed up when they were supposed to and they were good about checking in throughout the construction process. After the project was completed, they stopped by to make sure we didn’t have any issues.
I don’t think they are the cheapest in town, but considering the quality of the project and the way the team worked, the price was very fair. They were always very flexible and made sure they could meet our budget.
It was a joyful experience working with Chet and his team. I have no criticism.

Chet and his team have been helping to design our new home. I give them an A+. I have loved their creativity, designs, aesthetics, and most of all, how collaborative they are. Timeline wise, we have been right on track—we are about to move into the construction phase. They are very easy to reach and respond quickly, by both phone and email.
Chet and his team are very friendly. They really love their job and you can tell they are happy to talk with us—nothing ever feels like an effort.
Before I hired Chet, I talked to a couple other companies and Chet’s pricing was comparable. He gave me options on how to approach pricing. We could choose to pay them by the hour, or pay them by each design milestone. I chose the milestone route, and it has all worked out very nicely.
Chet is very calm, professional, thoughtful and deeply creative. I have already recommended him to friends and family.
