Allison aims to improve the quality of her clients’ lives: “The goal is to have people live independently as long as they can. That may mean more support at home, or it may mean moving into an assisted or independent living community.” Placements are free since the community that the family chooses pays for the service.
Allison’s care management services include:

She keeps the family up-to-date with an online database that has “a calendar with appointments, caregiver shifts and transportation. They can even view notes from a doctor visit if I went along.”
Allison started her business after working for an agency: “I would help out a family and then have to move on to the next “gig.” Now I’m able to sustain a high level of care for the long run.”

Allison was my mom’s care manager. She started off supporting us for in-home care for my mom. She identified my mom’s needs and coordinated things like the provision of the home aides, getting her food, coordinating her doctor appointments, and arranging transportation.
At the point my mom could no longer live at home, Allison helped us find an assisted living situation that could manage all aspects of her care. She set up initial screening appointments for me to look at places, and she then went with my mom and me to visit the places. Allison also helped with the arrangements, so my mom could move in.
Allison provides a very valuable resource. It’s hard to do all that work when you don’t have the free time. I definitely recommend her. I considered it a blessing to have had her support.

Allison and First Class Senior Care helped me when I needed care for my father. I hired her as a case manager to help find home care for him when he was ill. After my father passed I needed her help again to find care for my mother at home and then to find a place for her when it was time to move her from her house.
Allison is incredibly knowledgeable. She walked me through the process, provided options for places based on need and price, and coordinated my mother's move. She is still working with us as my mother is going back and forth from the hospital to rehab and home. I have to say it's a mess dealing with this with your parents—finding out what they need, who can do what and how much it all costs. She charges an hourly rate and it's worth it! I couldn't have done it without Allison and First Class Senior Care.
