I am a construction consultant and hire Juan Carlos for different jobs I’m overseeing. I have not had somebody I could recommend to friends or family or to other owners for awhile, but I highly recommend Juan Carlos. We are working together now on two projects, one of which is a two million dollar remodel on an eight million dollar home in Brentwood. We recently finished a custom home in Silver Lake. He does multiple trades for me including demolition, framing, electrical, plumbing, roofing, insulation, drywall, painting, protection, waterproofing and clean up as well as organization of the schedule. He and his office work well with the city and Alejandro in the office is wonderful with the paperwork. He is good with budgets and stays on schedule. If I need to talk to him, I will text him and he calls me right back.

Juan Carlos has done significant painting, carpentry, plumbing and tiling work. His craftsmanship is incredible and earns a perfect score of ten. Juan Carlos is thoughtful and considers a variety of approaches for the task at hand. He lets me know when something’s not going to work and makes alternate suggestions. His billing is reasonable, too. My sister referred him to me a number of years ago and he’s the best I’ve ever found. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Juan Carlos does really exceptional work. He’s painted my whole house, put in trellises, a new brick patio and re-stained a beautiful wooden bar. Everyone that walks into the house comments on this. “Who did that? It’s fabulous,” they exclaim, including one friend who is a designer. Juan Carlos is very bright and carefully thinks through all facets of a project. He can do anything! Whatever the job is, you can rely on him to figure it out and get it done right. Juan Carlos has done a lot of work for our property management company over the past one and a half years. He does great work! He can do pretty much anything. He is trustworthy, responsive, and language is not a barrier. I enjoy working with him. If there is an issue, he addresses it right away. He’s not cheap, but not expensive. We work with other people as well and Juan Carlos’ pricing is right in the middle. And he is one of the best out of all the people we work with. He can deal with problems on the job. I have referred him to personal friends of mine and everyone has enjoyed working with him. I use him personally also—he has done work at my house and at my mom’s place. He’s very respectful. Juan Carlos is wonderful! He worked on my kitchen: redid the floor, helped me pick out appliances, helped me pick out the tile and granite… I’m not good with color and he has been very helpful! If not for Juan Carlos I'd be crazy about now! He calms my nerves. He is conscientious and he cares about his customers, which is 90% of the job as far as I am concerned. His prices are right there with everybody else, not exorbitant or so low that he has to come back and then raise the price. If you call him and say I don't like this or don’t understand that, he will come by and talk it over with you. As a novice, I might see something he is working on and wonder about it. He'll say “I can see what you are looking at, but when I am done, it will be perfect, believe me!” He is very congenial. He will show you exactly what he has in mind and make sure you are comfortable with that. If you have anything you need done in your home, call Juan Carlos first!

We've had a lot of landscapers and contractors work on our property in the past couple of years. Of all the guys we’ve hired, Juan Carlos is the only one who has consistently kept his focus on what we wanted while taking care of our property like it was his own. He has done a lot of different types of contracting work at our house, from carpentry to electrical, but there is no one like him when it comes to painting. He can color match anything—by eye! On top of having an eye for color and great attention to detail, Juan Carlos is a man of his word. He will bend over backwards to follow through on what he promises. And he will tell me when something is outside his scope and needs permits, etc. However, there is not much outside of his scope. In short, he is a hard worker, trustworthy, and great at what he does.

Juan Carlos is fantastic. A nicer person, you'll never meet. He’s very considerate and does terrific work. I have used him numerous times. He did some repairs on my roof, a little painting, replaced eaves, built some steps, light plumbing, some small electrical. He is coming soon to resurface the deck. He's the best person I have ever worked with. I was using another handyman I didn’t like as much and was more expensive than Juan Carlos. Juan Carlos bills me per project and I trust him. When you call him if he doesn't answer right away, he will call you back in 15 minutes. When do you ever get that kind of service?
