Protex is excellent! And their price is reasonable.
This is the second exterminator service and the third person that we have tried to get help from. John has been so wonderful and thorough. He explains everything and is careful to use nontoxic products for our and our animals’ safety.
We had spent $3000 already and hadn’t gotten to the bottom of a bug problem. We also had a problem with mice. I didn’t want to kill them, but we were getting nowhere fast. We had termites in our deck, too.
John communicates really well and is thorough. He went around our house and found holes in the baseboards that the other companies had missed! He explained what they were going to do and when they were done, he followed up with a text to make sure everything was resolved. We haven’t had any rodents for three weeks now and have a big improvement on bugs of any kind. The termites on the deck are gone.
The Protex people are also very respectful of our space and our animals.

I noticed termites in the house and reached out to John at Protex. My late husband had hired John’s company many years ago because they use nontoxic treatments. The treatment back then was completely effective. I was grateful to talk to John again and to have the same tech, Robert. They took care of the termites without using dangerous chemicals.
I recently found ants crawling up the kitchen wall. I tried to get rid of them with a mint spray that was so powerful it made my house reek of mint, but the ants came back. I tried cleaning them up over and over. After a week I called John. He said they deal with this all the time and sent over dear Robert again. Robert took me around the outside of the house and showed me places like piles of mulch where the ants could be hiding out. He took the time to teach me about ants and explained his best guess of where they got in. He sprayed around the house, and I haven’t seen an ant since.
I’m now on their regular maintenance service, at a reasonable price that doesn’t break the bank.
The people at Protex couldn’t be more conscientious, competent and knowledgeable about the world of insects! I’m very, very happy with them.

John and Robert at Protex helped us with bedbug removal. We had attempted to deal with the infestation on our own, but the bugs kept coming back. We knew we needed professional help and we first called Orkin. Orkin’s quote was very high and the requirements for preparing the house for fumigation seemed excessive.
Protex’s quote was half that of Orkin’s. Robert explained the steps involved in prepping the house and it seemed simpler and straight forward. They also checked for termites and rodents and set some traps in the attic and under the house.
The Friday before we left the house, Robert brought protective bags for foodstuffs, we moved to a hotel and four days later we were back. The bugs are gone and we are termite-free, too.
John was professional all the way, and Robert is just a super guy. They want to make things as right as possible for the customer. I have recommended them and I know that if I ever need them again, they will be there for us.
