Diverse, Free Programs Support Thousands of Cancer Patients and Families
FOUNDED IN 2001, weSPARK remains committed to providing support for cancer patients and their loved ones. Their model of care, Navigating Health through Wellness®, is designed to offer a wide variety of integrative therapies, classes and workshops.
With more than 1,000 guests participating each year, weSPARK delivers a comprehensive array of services, tailored to meet the needs of cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. Their roster of services includes:
- Support Groups
- Yoga
- Nutritional Counseling
- Nurse Navigation
- Hypnotherapy
- Acupuncture
- Reiki
Recent classes and workshops have focused on dealing with anxiety, chronic pain, neuropathy, creative expression, mindfulness, integrative oncology and stress reduction.
weSPARK creates community and provides a safe place for visitors. The organization takes special care to bring together guests who are in similar situations. For example, support groups are created for those undergoing treatment or adjusting to the challenges of life after treatment, caregivers and people in need of grief counseling.
All services are offered free of charge.
